An Executive Committee’s authority derives from the authority of the board, and one of the most important decisions a board makes is to define the role and authority of the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee provides a mechanism for board leaders in decision making, oversight, and communication on important organizational matters. This authoritative Committee has vital role to play in organizational matters.
Responsibilities
The Executive Committee’s specific responsibilities include:
- Serving as a sounding board for management on emerging issues, problems, and initiatives.
- Reporting to the board at the board’s next meeting on any official actions it has taken.

Federal & Provincial Government Affairs Committee
The primary purpose of this Committee is to monitor federal regulatory and legislative issues. This committee is directly responsible to approach concerned Governments regarding issues faced by toy community & it’s all four communities of ATPA.
